Images used in this guide are in English. You can change the interface language of WordPress from your profile settings.
Only those having the rights of an “Author” can publish experiences. After joining and logging into Stille, authors can see Posts section on the left menu. If you don’t see the Posts section, contact Stille Admin for the permission update and also for any help required with writing, formatting and publishing. This section contains all the posts/articles published by you. You can save unfinished articles as drafts and publish at a later date. You can also edit an already published article at any time.
To write a new article, click on Add new.
Adding experience title
Click on Add title to type a suitable title or subject of your experience.
Adding and editing text
Freely type or copy and paste text from a document stored in your computer. To have space between the header image and text, leave an empty paragraph to top.
Adding an image / gallery
Click on blue/black square with a plus sign ( + ) to add a block before, within or after a paragraph.
Media library
All uploaded images are stored in the media library. A gallery can have multiple images placed in columns as specified. A single image can also be added to the article.
Creating gallery
To create a gallery upload images to the media library by selecting the images or dragging and dropping the images to this section. For a fast website try to keep the size of an image as small as possible (e.g. 300KB).
Uploading images
Upload all images that you wish to include in a gallery. Images can also be added to the gallery afterwords.
Inserting gallery
Once all the desired images are in media library and assigned to a gallery click on Insert gallery.
Gallery settings
The gallery will contain all the selected images. Arranging images in columns can be set from Gallery settings under the Block section in the right panel.
Article categories
Categories help the readers in sorting and searching for relevant content. Articles can be assigned multiple categories. If not category is selected, a default category [Originaltext-English] will be assigned. If you have written the article in other language, please select the original text language from the list of categories under the Post section in the right panel. If needed new categories can be added by admin.
How to preview
To preview the article, select Preview, device and if you wish to preview it in a new tab.
Preview
Proofread the text for typing errors. Check the images, style and highlights before publishing. Categories e.g. [Mindfulness / Originaltext-English] are links and lead to a page with all articles under that category.
Image behind the title
Articles can be published without a featured image. By default Stille logo mark is shown behind the title. This can be changed by setting a Featured image from under Post > Status & visibility section in panel on the right. Featured image helps the readers to identify a published experience along with the title. If the “Experiences” page has several experiences with similar titles, it is easy for the reader to differentiate and recognise the one that interests them. To select a featured image click on the grey box with text – Set featured image.
Setting featured image
Feature image does not have to be an image that has been used in the article. Select a featured image so that the black gradient mask over it does not cover the relevant. Click on Set featured image. Preview again.
Article is ready for publishing
The featured image will show behind the title. Click on Publish button to publish your experience for stille readers. Also check other settings on the right-side panel and options available while adding a block.
